With FileCatalyst Direct 2.7.4 comes a list of notable improvements and new features, including Amazon EC2 licensing and new methods for applet JavaScript API.

- FileCatalyst Direct now available as an hourly or monthly AMI for Amazon EC2
- Ability to specify SSL ciphers for FileCatalyst Server
- Database authentication model (ie: MySQL) available
- Additional methods to JavaScript interface for applets
- Upload applet: determine selected file in queue
- Upload and download applet: determine all files in queue
- Upload and download applet: callback once applet has loaded
- Upload and download applet: launch FC file browser
- browseLive() method now returns path selected by user
